My Hairdresser Noticed a Change Before I Did
My hairdresser was the one who noticed it first.
I didn't even realize anything had changed.
I went in for a haircut like I normally do, and when she started washing my hair, she said, "Your hair feels different. Did you change your shampoo?"
I said no.
She kept touching my hair and said, "It feels smoother and less dry than last time. Did you do a treatment or something?"
I told her I didn't change anything. Same shampoo, same conditioner, same hair routine.
Then she asked another question. "Did you move house or change your shower?"
That question surprised me.
I actually had moved to a new place about two months before that, but I never thought it had anything to do with my hair.
She explained that sometimes the biggest difference in hair condition is not shampoo, not conditioner, not treatment, but water.
She told me that chlorine and impurities in tap water can dry out hair and irritate the scalp over time. So even if you use good hair products, if your shower water is harsh, your hair will still feel dry and rough.
Then she said something that really stuck with me.
"Many people spend a lot of money on hair products, but they wash their hair every day with water that is damaging their hair."
That made a lot of sense.
When I thought about it, the only thing that changed after I moved house was the water.
So I went home and started reading about filtered showerheads and how chlorine affects hair and skin. That's when I found the Lucinn Pro Filtered Showerhead.
The idea is simple.
Inside the showerhead, there are filtration layers that help reduce chlorine, heavy metals, and other impurities before the water touches your hair and skin.
So instead of washing your hair with harsh water every day, you're washing your hair with cleaner, softer water.
I decided to try it because honestly I had already spent so much money on shampoos, conditioners, hair masks and treatments over the years.
Installing it took only a few minutes. Just unscrew the old showerhead and screw the new one on.
After about two weeks, I noticed the difference more clearly.
My hair felt softer after drying.
Less frizz.
My scalp didn't feel as dry.
My skin didn't feel tight after showering anymore.
When I went back to my hairdresser the next time, she immediately said, "Yes, your hair is still much better than before. Whatever you changed, keep doing it."
And the funny thing is, I didn't change my shampoo.
I changed my shower water.
Most people think they have a shampoo problem or conditioner problem.
But sometimes, it's actually a water problem.
You shower every day.
Your hair and skin are exposed to that water every day.
So the quality of your shower water matters more than most people think.
That's why I now recommend the Lucinn Pro Filtered Showerhead to friends whenever they complain about dry hair, itchy scalp, or dry skin.
Sometimes the solution isn't another product.
It's fixing the water first.
